HSSC organises Convocation Ceremony for Trained Healthcare Professionals in Amritsar

Amritsar: The Healthcare Sector Skill Council recently organized a one of its kind convocation ceremony at Vidyanta- Health Skills Development Centre, Amritsar. The event was held in order to award certificates to more than 50 trained candidates in Healthcare Job Roles including Yoga Professionals.

The training initiative was taken to add to the Skill India Movement launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to prepare a generation of skilled employees and leaders in alignment with the modern day market demands.

The convocation ceremony took place in the Hon’ble presence of Professor Dr. Dinesh Sharma (HOD, Neurology, SGRD Medical College Amritsar) and Mr. Rajpal Khullar (Ex- Chairman Pharmacy Council Punjab, Chairman SVM College, Amritsar) along with the DPMU Team (Block Mission Manager, Amritsar) who encouraged and congratulated the students, faculty and staff for completion of the skill program.

During his speech, Nitin Chaudhary, Healthcare Sector Skill Council said, “Our country’s healthcare system has improved a lot in the recent past amid the pandemic and I’m sure these trained candidates will help improve the healthcare system of our country even further. The completion of this skill program will help them get absorbed in the relevant healthcare industry and skill development.”

During their complete training program, the participants were given an opportunity to undergo several rounds of training by industry veterans and highly qualified professionals to expand their scope of engagement. All the candidates were closely observed with assessments on a daily basis and were provided with inputs on the scope of.

Some of the trained candidates were also shortlisted by employers in the healthcare industry for relevant placement opportunities.
