Genrobotics is a national award winning startup that focuses on developing robotics technologies for solving social issues. In India, Genrobotics gained its popularity by the invention of the Bandicoot robot which was developed with the intention of eliminating manhole deaths. The company's newly formed Medical and Mobility wing has developed G plot technology for gait training and G Gaiter was the result of this.
The robot is intended to be used in hospitals or under the close supervision of medical professionals. The rehabilitation of patients which earlier required the assistance of two or three people could now be reduced drastically in terms of time and effort. The robot can create 900 steps in a fairly short period of time, whereas traditional gait training took roughly 3 hours. G gaiter’s AI-Powered Natural Human Gait Pattern and top-notch rehabilitation functions aims to increase mobility as well as the consistency and quality of gait patterns. The functionality of the Robot enables medical professionals to creatively tailor therapy to each patient's particular needs in order to assist patients with re-walking for perfection while also saving time and effort. The Research and Development centre of the medical and mobility wing also has its base in the UK.
The Thiruvananthapuram-based robotics company has already been invested in by prominent businessmans Anand Mahindra, Sridhar Vembu (ZOHO corp) , former Google India chief Rajan Anandan and investment firms Unicorn Ventures and Sea Fund.
