Gurugram : Multidisciplinary team of doctors at Max Hospital, Gurugram, successfully saved the life of a 27-year-old patient who was battling against severe acute pancreatitis and multiple organ failure. The multidisciplinary team of doctors at Max Hospital collaborated seamlessly to provide immediate and comprehensive medical attention, resulting in a remarkable recovery. The patient is currently in a state of recovery, steadily gaining weight and exhibiting improved muscle strength. Close monitoring and follow-up appointments are being conducted at our outpatient department (OPD) to ensure the patient's continued progress.
The patient was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Max Hospital after being managed in a private centre for four days for severe abdominal pain. The patient presented to Max Hospital, Gurugram in a critical condition with severe breathlessness and complete renal shutdown. The dedicated gastro team and critical care team immediately initiated a collaborative effort to stabilise the patient.
The evaluation revealed a diagnosis of severe acute pancreatitis accompanied by a blood clot in a major abdominal vessel.
