Bahadurgarh, 30 August 2024: Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh, today, organised a public awareness session focusing on the prevalence, management, and treatment options for lung cancer. This session aimed to educate the public about one of the most prevalent and deadly forms of cancer worldwide.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Waseem Abbas, Associate Director, Medical Oncology, and Dr. Inder Mohan Chugh, Senior Director, Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine from Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh, who emphasized about the prevention and treatment options for lung cancer.

Emphasizing about the widespread impact of lung cancer, explaining the various stages and treatment options available, Dr. Waseem Abbas, Associate Director, Medical Oncology, Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh said "Lung cancer is not only one of the most common cancers worldwide, but it also remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally. Lung cancer progresses through various stages, starting from early-stage (Stage 0), where cancer cells are confined to the lining of the airways, to advanced stages (Stage IV), where the cancer has spread to distant organs.
